You can temporarily pause your monthly SAYE contributions through your Optio account.
When a contribution is paused or missed, your SAYE plan does not immediately end. Instead, your maturity date is normally delayed by one month for each monthly contribution missed.
You can miss up to 12 monthly contributions during your SAYE contract. If you miss a 13th monthly contribution, your SAYE contract will lapse.
Paused contributions do not restart automatically. When you are ready to start contributing again, you will need to return to your SAYE plan and select Resume.
Depending on your employer's payroll cut-off, a pause or resume request may take effect in the current or following payroll cycle.
