If you cannot see the option to sell in your account, it usually means your shares are not currently available to be traded.
Common reasons why the sell option is not visible
1. Your award has not vested yet
Shares only become available to sell once they have vested. Please check your vesting schedule and plan rules.
2. Your shares are still restricted
Some awards have restrictions (such as lock-up or holding periods) that temporarily prevent sales.
3. You are a VPS participant
For some plans, shares are held in the Norwegian VPS system rather than with Optio.
These shares are kept in your private VPS account.
You cannot sell or transact on VPS shares directly from the Optio platform.
-
The information shown in your Optio account is for record-keeping only.
To sell these shares, you will need to use your VPS account.
4. You are listed as an Insider
If you are marked as an Insider, trading restrictions apply under Norwegian regulations.
This means no trading window is currently open to you.
We will coordinate with your account manager regarding the availability of a future trading window.
What you can do
Review your vesting dates and plan rules in your account.
If you are a VPS participant, use your VPS account to manage transactions.
If you are an Insider, please wait for confirmation from your account manager regarding when a trading window may open.
If you are unsure which of these applies to you, please contact support and we’ll be happy to check and guide you.
