Unfortunately, transfers to a spouse or a third party are not permitted.
Exception – Joint Accounts
If the receiving account is a joint account, your broker may accept the transfer. However, please note:
- On our transfer instructions, we will only provide the account holder name as registered in your Optio account.
- It is up to the receiving broker to decide whether they will accept the transfer into a joint account.
Important to Know
- We cannot change the account holder name on our instructions.
- To avoid delays, please confirm with your receiving broker whether they will accept a transfer into a joint account before submitting your request.
