Share transfers can take some time to complete. They involve multiple parties and manual steps.
Typical timeframe
Share transfers can take up to 30 business days.
In most cases, if all the information is correct and your broker responds quickly, transfers are usually settled within 2–3 weeks.
Why does it take time?
We are reliant on your broker responding and providing matching transfer instructions.
- Both parties (our custodian and your broker) must coordinate to arrange Trade Date (TD) and Settlement Date (SD).
-
Matching transfer instructions must be entered into the market.
This is a manual process and progress depends on both sides aligning correctly.
What you can do
- Make sure you have provided all required transfer information accurately.
- If there are delays, please contact your broker to ensure they have responded to the request.
Our advice
We kindly ask participants to be patient during this process, as both parties need time to coordinate and complete the delivery of your shares.
